Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. -Matthew 25:4
MEETING NEEDS
Spring is here and the Roanoke Valley is starting to warm up. With the warm temperatures we have noticed a growing number of unsheltered friends seeking services at our ministry building. As a result, the increased demand for the basic supplies we provide has caused us to be in need of replenishing several items. Check out our Amazon wishlist to help stock our shelves.
With the warmer temperatures, we have been able to put the warming bus in hibernation. We are so thankful that we could offer this new service. Pray with us as we consider additional ways to use this bus again during the warmer months.
Since our last report in March, we have housed yet another person in April! We have also helped someone reunite with a support system in another city or town by purchasing a Greyhound ticket.
TLOT continues to take the ministry truck on trips through the streets of Roanoke to serve our unsheltered friends where they are. In addition, the TLOT facility remains open three days a week to allow for showers and laundry facilities. Volunteers also offer lunch and refreshments on these days.
Thank you all for being a part of this village. We will keep you posted as developments occur!

MISSION MOMENTS
In 2017, Jennifer was living in a tent on one of the greenways in Roanoke when we first met her. We were able to offer her street level care as she was struggling with addiction which meant losing custody of her daughter. She ended up working hard to pull herself up out of her difficult circumstances and move into an apartment and we were blessed to provide her with furniture which included a room so that her daughter could come and visit.
In early April, TLOT reunited with Jennifer and learned that she has been clean for five years! She regained custody of her daughter and has a job working from home. She is doing remarkably well!

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
TLOT is blessed to have many volunteers! Every volunteer is integral to the continued operation of this mission! This month, we wanted to shine a spotlight on these two! Karin and Ellen are a team...just like peanut butter and jelly! They are SO important to the day-to-day operations of our ministry building, striving to provide showers, laundry and lunch to our unsheltered friends.
These ladies are constantly working hard to meet the needs of those seeking services, greeting them with a warm smile, a genuine heart and a willingness to serve!
THANK YOU, Karin and Ellen!! We appreciate you!

The Least of These Ministry is a gap ministry that strives to make a positive difference in the lives of the homeless community in the Roanoke Valley. Its mission is to meet men and women living on the streets and serve them with spiritual, physical, and emotional support in the name of Jesus Christ. This is only possible because of the continued support we receive from our village in the way of financial donations, donated items, volunteering, and prayer. Thank you for being a part of our village!
