Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. -Matthew 25:4
MEETING NEEDS
The fall season is upon us and, with the support of our village, The Least of These Ministry is blessed to be able to continue serving our unsheltered friends in multiple ways.
The fall season is upon us and, with the support of our village, The Least of These Ministry is blessed to be able to continue serving our unsheltered friends in multiple ways.
- We have been blessed with the opportunity to house 5 people since our last report in July including Art pictured on the right!
- We purchased 5 bus tickets to help families reunite with loved ones in other states.
- More than 250 individuals utilized our shower and laundry facilities in August and September! We serve an average of 15 individuals each day we are open for services. Due to the volume of guests, we have begun to serve light lunches to ensure our friends have an opportunity to eat.
- August, we attached 18 lockers, covered by an awning, to the outside of our ministry headquarters. These lockers give our unsheltered friends an opportunity to keep their personal belongings safe and dry. The ministry assigns the lockers to those individuals that request them and provide them with a combination lock.
“With help from our amazing TLOT Village, we are constantly working to identify the needs of the unsheltered community and then finding ways to meet them.” -Dawn Sandoval, TLOT founder.
MINISTRY PRAISES
We are so excited to report that, due to the number of people we are serving, we were able to install a second shower to decrease the wait time for our guests!
In addition, the initial 18 lockers that were added to our ministry headquarters were in such demand, they filled up fast... So fast, in fact, that we installed 18 MORE lockers in September!

MISSION MOMENTS
We were recently blessed with the opportunity to assist Cory and his two sons, ages 17 and 14, in obtaining permanent housing. Cory found himself homeless in February, when his landlord passed away and the family sold the home he was renting. This left Cory struggling to find a new home. He worked the night shift at a local manufacturer and slept in his car during the day. We are blessed to have met him when he visited our ministry headquarters to shower. That encounter gave us the opportunity to assist him and his children! Congratulations Cory!
We were also blessed as we helped a family (with an autistic son) who was traveling through the area when their car caught fire on I-81. Through a series of unfortunate events, they couldn’t get back to their home and employers in Louisiana. Unfortunately, they didn’t have funds to repair their car, pay for transportation home, nor could they afford to stay in a hotel room. Once we heard of their story, we were able to purchase bus tickets so they could finish their journey home.
