Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. -Matthew 25:4
MEETING NEEDS
Meeting the immediate needs of our unsheltered friends is so much easier, thanks to the new TLOT ministry space! In addition to much needed storage space for ministry supplies and donated furniture and household goods, the space allows us to offer our homeless friends a place to take a shower and laundry facilities three days a week! On average, we have been serving approximately 10 to 12 guests each day we are open!
In other celebratory news, TLOT has been blessed with the opportunity to assist five individuals in obtaining permanent housing in the last two months! Two of these gentlemen have served our country as veterans of the U.S. military.
TLOT was also blessed to assist three homeless individuals with Greyhound bus tickets to give them the opportunity to reunite with their support system in another state!

WELCOME BASKETS NEEDED
We are currently in need of several “Welcome Home” baskets! These are baskets that can be provided to our friends that are moving into permanent housing. These baskets would contain items such as laundry detergent, dish liquid, body wash, toilet tissue, paper towels, cleaning supplies, bath towels, wash cloths, trash bags, and anything thoughtful one might feel led to include. If you would be willing to create one or two of these baskets, email us for more details.

MISSION MOMENTS
This month, we were blessed with the opportunity to help our friend Josh secure housing. After serving our country and then falling on hard times, he found himself living on the streets in Roanoke. His move in date was nothing short of a divine appointment!
These are the words of one of our awesome donors/volunteers: "My mom and grandmother ‘Nana’ were combining homes and needed to get rid of furniture. Nana was having a hard time letting go of the bedroom suite, dishes, silverware, and kitchen table that she had used for years and years. We encouraged her to donate these items to the Least of These."
"On the day of the move, we contacted Dawn and arranged for a time to meet at the TLOT ministry headquarters to drop off the furniture. When Dawn saw our packed truck with these donations, she mentioned that she had just finished the paperwork to house Josh. With his new home nearby, we offered to unload our stuff at his new apartment rather than at the ministry headquarters. The timing was perfect!"
"After we dropped off the donations and wished Josh well in his new home, we explained to Nana how her donations were used. She cried tears of joy at the thought that something she had a difficult time letting go would help someone in need! Especially someone who has served our country!"

REMEMBERING OUR FRIENDS
TLOT is grieving the loss of three friends, Danny, Daniel, and Dale. Homelessness is hard. Death is hard. Please pray for their families as they mourn the loss of their loved ones.
